Steven N. Odarteifio is the Executive Director of the AgroMinds Africa Challenge and a Senior Agribusiness Consultant at IESO Agribusiness Consult. Steven’s role in helping create and craft the AgroMinds Africa challenge speaks volumes of his talent as a strategist and an emerging leader. Over the past 10 years, he has developed significant experience holding investment, business and strategy advisory roles both at the international and local stage in private equity, management consulting, and agribusiness development. Prior to joining IESO Agribusiness Consults and AgroMinds Africa, Steven was a Senior Associate at Konfidants, where he played a lead role in the foundational strategy team that built and incubated the AfroChampions Initiative (afrochampions.com) and the Djondo Fellowship (djondofellowship.org) – projects that seek to mobilize investment funds and private public partnerships to support indigenous African businesses to successfully launch cross-border operations with well-designed solutions. He began his career at the Global Investment Research division of Goldman Sachs & Co. in London as a research analyst. He then joined Sagevest Holdings Ltd, a Ghanaian private equity firm, where he headed the investment research desk that conducted investment appraisals and analysis across various agribusiness sectors and projects worth over $20 million. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Economic Policy and Management from the University of Ghana and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Ashesi University. In 2014 he was invited by the Aspen Institute (U.S.A) and conferred Resnick leadership scholar for that year following his achievements in social entrepreneurship at Ashesi University.
